Importance of Transparency

The Important of Transparency

Why I am so passionate about transparency? Having gone through the Mortgage Meltdown/Housing Crisis from the front lines, I could see the primary cause; an utter lack of transparency across the entire industry. Transparency shifts the balance of power and creates a more equal playing field, whereby the consumer is empowered to “see for him/herself” and make the best decisions according to their interest and goals, not the banks.

From the standpoint of a mortgage professional, transparency is an act of respect. I assume that the client knows what is best for him/her given full and complete information, and therefore this becomes my job. It is the opposite of salesmanship, which assumes that the salesman knows what is best for the customer and therefore tries to persuade them accordingly, which naturally suits their paycheck.

It is for this reason, my RESPECT for the client/homeowner and therefore the commitment to TRANSPARENCY, I strive day in and day out to improve the mortgage process and the integrity upon which it depends.
