When you live in a home you absolutely love you are much more likely to have people over to share it, and one of the best occasions is certainly the Super Bowl. Sports fan or not, it’s a great opportunity to get together with friends and have a fun time.
Whether it’s throwing a Super Bowl Party, adding a wall, painting the walls, remodeling the kitchen, investing in nicer furniture or maybe even putting a putting green in the backyard, these are all things that homeowners tend to do in much greater droves than renters. And it’s not just a matter of can vs. can’t due to imposed rules and restrictions from Landlord’s, Apartments, etc.
Let’s be honest, when you happen to own your home vs. renting, you are much more likely to take pride in it, make it uniquely yours and as such, host an event or gathering such as the Super Bowl! And of course, when you own, sharing it and showing it off is that much more fun because you earned it, you bought it and no one can take it away from you. (AS long as you make your mortgage payments).
There has been an increasing amount of growing media coverage and opinion about why renting is better these days than owning, and for some, renting is the right move. However, let’s not forget that there is much intrinsic value to owning a home (and anything for that matter) than the numbers on paper and financial models can show.
So enjoy the big game, and cheers to all those homeowners out there hosting Super Bowl parties for the 1st, 2nd, or 11th time.
