A new year always brings opportunities to get clear on who you are, what you stand for and what your purpose is. 2012 was a banner year for Transparent Mortgage and laid the foundation for what we hope to achieve in 2013.
Yesterday, I decided to re-visit the mission statement and make a few updates and alterations that are more in line with the essence of what we do and why do it. As the times change, and this industry changes drastically year to year, we much adapt and change with it.
We have always been focused on providing a very high level of service and integrity, but in an informative, caring and respectful way; never in a salesy or pushy way. And of course, as our name suggests, Transparency!
However, it occurred to me this past summer that what Transparency really gives a client is Empowerment. When a client has the right and complete information, they then become empowered to make the right decision. And that is what I believe people need these days, especially in the real estate and mortgage industry.
So I felt it important to lead the mission statement with the word empowering. A second distinction is the word communication. This replaces the prior word of service. After discussing this with Heather Schuster, our brilliant transaction coordinator, we realized that if the integrity is there (as we always make sure it is) then you just have the communication part, which creates the high level of service and care that we pride ourselves on. So a more specific and exact way of creating a high level of customer service is integrity + communication.
So here it is: Our 2013 Mission Statement
“Empowering our clients through communication, integrity and operational efficiency.”
Short, sweet and simple., and to us it means everything and will be the guiding force behind what we are able to accomplish this year.
