Tracy had a feeling it was a good time to refinance late last year when the interest rates had dipped. She originally bought her Studio City home when the rates were significantly higher. She conducted her first mortgage loan with another local mortgage broker and and decided to work with them again on the home refinancing, purely out of convenience.
“I’m fairly busy and travel a lot, so I was just going to refi with them because it was easy,” Tracy explains in her Yelp review. “Until one day, the other company demanded that I sign some document within a day, and I was traveling for business. I told them from the get go I was very busy, travel a lot and am not always available for signing. Since I couldn’t make that date, they told me I could continue to refi but the rate would be higher. That’s when I started shopping around.”

“I appreciate their transparency (ha!) and getting back to me about questions/responsiveness, even in the face of what I’m sure were pretty amateur questions since I’m new to all of this,” Tracy continues. “I think they get that this is a long-term commitment with a lot of money for folks, and appreciate that. So instead of giving attitude (like my previous mortgage place) they were patient and kind, even when I was a bit short and curt.”
Ultimately, we were able to work around Tracy’s busy work and travel schedule to conduct a smooth and successful refinance of her home loan. “They had a travel notary, who was super nice and thorough, come in on a Saturday to get the papers signed before the window closed,” Tracy adds. “They have been helpful even after close, which I appreciate.”
